Founded in 1995 by John J. Sheehan, Professional Aviation Inc provides support and evaluations of corporate flight departments in areas of safety, regulatory compliance, transportation analysis and policy development. Additional activities include aircraft selection, Ops and Maintenance Manual preparation, aviation marketing analyses, and seminar and workshop development.
A respected advisor and author of the recently released Business and Corporate Aviation Management, published by The McGraw-Hill Companies, Mr. Sheehan began his career in business aviation after 21 years in the U.S. Navy where he served as a carrier pilot, instructor pilot, operational test and evaluation project director, and squadron operations and maintenance officer. From 1980 through 1990, he was with the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association in several capacities, including Executive Vice President. Immediately before forming Professional Aviation Inc, John Sheehan was Vice President of Phaneuf Associates, Inc., directing the Corporate Aviation Services Division.
Mr. Sheehan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University. Additional qualifications include Airline Transport Pilot certificate, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) General Aviation Representative designation, and IBAC accreditation as an International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) auditor.
